Eleanor Brickwood Eleanor Vera Brickwood (nee Ford) of Edmonton AB passed away peacefully at the Gene Zwozdesky Centre in Edmonton AB on January 26, 2024 at the age of 64 years. Eleanor was born on January 21, 1960 in Grande Prairie AB and raised on the Ford Family Farm in Bezanson AB. She had a larger-than-life personality and a heart to match, bringing life to any gathering. Eleanor found and lived her passion instructing the Home Care Aid (HCA) course in Edmonton at the Robertson College and later at the Makami College. She will forever be known as the Best Instructor Ever, consistently turning out a quality graduating class. Eleanor always went the extra mile and spent countless hours tutoring exam prep with students who needed just a little more help. Eleanor will be loving remembered and deeply missed by son Aaron Bushey; daughter Andrea Bushey (Tyler Carrier); stepsons Clayton (Michelle) Brickwood and Cory (Teresa) Brickwood; stepdaughter Christel (Steve) Grelish; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; brothers Gordon (Colleen) Ford, Bill (Glenda) Ford; sister Phyllis (Laurie) Lindgren; numerous nieces; nephews; extended family members and close friends Amy Johnson and Kevin Phillipchuk. She was predeceased by parents Henry and Shirley Ford and husband Dave Brickwood. A family and friends Memorial Picnic to celebrate Eleanor’s life will be held in Bezanson AB in the spring / summer of 2024, with details to be announced at a later date.
