DUPUIS, Romeo: February 23, 1941 - November 2, 2015 {Also on Cunningham grave stone page}

Romeo Eugene Joseph DUPUIS
   Romeo was born February 23, 1941 to Nina and Edward Dupuis in McLennan, Alberta and passed away at the Drumheller Health Centre on Monday November 2, 2015 at the age of 74 years.
   Romeo's family moved to Grande Prairie where he spent the next several years, growing up, working and eventually met and married Lynda Cunningham in 1963. Together they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Vicki Lynn. Vicki was the light of Romeo's life until her passing at the age of two.
   Romeo worked for many years at Dyer Tire in Grande Prairie and then later Fountain Tire.
   In 1987 Romeo and Lynda moved to Calgary and then in 1991 on to Drumheller where Romeo went to work for Highway 9 driving the Super Bees, which he did for many years.
   Lynda and Romeo also owned and operated a gift store in Drumheller for a few years.
   Romeo loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and Lynda and he spent many a weekend camping at Two Lakes in northern Alberta.
   He owned a Honda Goldwing and took great pride in riding it. You could regularly find him in the local coffee shop enjoying friends and telling stories.
   Romeo is survived by his wife Lynda, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lois & Dave Fenton, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Pat & Duane Bumstead, brother Philip, as well as 13 nieces and nephews and their families, a few of which had a very special place in his heart.
   Romeo was predeceased by his daughter Vicki, his parents Nina & Edward Dupuis, his sister Florence and her husband Don Lloyd.
   A Celebration of Life will be held in Drumheller at the Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alberta ALS Society.

DUPUIS, Lynda: May 8, 1944 - March 1, 2019 {Also on Cunningham grave stone page}

Lynda Dupuis (nee Cunningham)
  Lynda was born May 8, 1944 in Sexsmith, Alberta and passed away at the Drumheller Care Centre on Friday, March 1st, 2019 at the age of 74 years.
   Lynda lived for many years in Grande Prairie where she met and married Romeo Dupuis in 1963. They were blessed with a daughter, Vicki Lynn, for a short time until Vicki passed away at the age of two.
   In 1987 Lynda and Romeo moved to Calgary and then in 1991 to Drumheller. Although previously Lynda worked in finance, in Drumheller she ran the 'This n That' gift store for many years.
   Lynda was never happier than when in the outdoors and camping. While many wonderful days were spent in various camping locations in southern Alberta, she had a special place in her heart for the Two Lakes area in the mountain south of Grande Prairie.
   Lynda was an animal lover, and gave a great deal of support to many conservation groups throughout the years.
   Lynda is survived by her sisters Lois Fenton and Pat Bumstead, brother-inlaws Dave Fenton and Duane Bumsteads, niece Janet Plante (Pete) and nephew Barry Fenton (Penny) and their families.
   Lynda was predeceased by her daughter Vicki, husband Romeo, and parents Dorothy & Tom Cunningham.
   A Celebration of Life for Lynda will be held by the family in the spring. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
