Hazel Grodeland Mrs. 0. Grodeland Laid To Rest Glen Leslie Cemetery Mrs. 0. Grodeland, who before her marriage was Miss Hazel Dixon, daughter at Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Dixon of Grande Prairie, who died at Calgary on Wednesday, August 17, was laid to rest in the Glen Leslie cemetery on Saturday last. The funeral services were held at the home of the deceased's parents, Rev. Mr. Simmons of Sexsmith officiating. Mrs. Grodeland, who came over the Edson Trail with her parents in 1911, grew up in Grande Prairie. She attended the local schools and later taught In the district. Daughter of pioneers she was favorably and widely known throughout the Grande Prairie district and the sympathy of many friends go out to husband and family In this their sad bereavement. Mr. and Mrs. Grodeland were married last January. The large attendance at the funeral and the many beautiful floral offerings bespoke the high esteem in which the deceased and family are held in the community. Mrs. Grodeland leaves to mourn her loss; Husband, parents, one sister, Marion, and brother, Arthur. The following were pallbearers: Charles Dorscheid, Kenner Foy. Garnet Pratt, Ross Bacon.
