Stark, William James, 73, of Grande Prairie: - June 6, 1991
   William James “Jim" Stark, of Grande Prairie, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 1991, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, at the age of 73 years.
   He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters: Elizabeth (Oliver) Chandler of Surrey, B.C., Mary (Lester) Summach of Grande Prairie, Ann (Elmer) Bulford of Bezanson; two brothers: John (Geraldine) Stark and Douglas (Evelyn) Stark both of Grande Prairie, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
   He was predeceased by his wife, Iona in 1983, his mother, Mary Stark in 1941, his father John Stark in 1984, his brother, Tom in 1964 and his sister, Isabel Heasler in 1991.
   John was born at Crynant Wales and came to the Peace River Country in 1926 where he resided until his death. He served with great pride in the Canadian Army during World War II.
   Public visitation will be held at the Oliver Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 9, 1991 from 7-8 p.m.
   Funeral service will be held at the Oliver Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 10, 1991 at 3 p.m. Interment to follow in the Glen Leslie Cemetery, Rev George Malcolm officiating.
   Donations to the Legion Amputee Program would be appreciated by the family.

Iona Maude Stark
   Mrs. Iona Maude Stark passed away at Grande Prairie, Alta. on Friday, May 6th, 1983, at the age of 64 years. She was born at New Westminster, B, C., and was a resident of Grande Prairie at the time of her death. She had been a Registered Nurse, having retired about seven years ago, due to ill health.
   She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; four sons: Michael, Ernest, Donald and Stuart; two daughters: Veronica and Beverly; two sisters: Irene and Beverly; and two brothers: John and Edward.
   Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Mark, Desmond, Troy, Kimberly, Lehea, Trina, Nicholas, Becky, Jordon and Melody. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Emma, and by a son, Tommy, and a sister, Shirley.
   Funeral service for the late Iona Maude Stark will be held at the Oliver Funeral Chapel, on Tuesday, May 10, 1983, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Oliver Chandler, brother-in-law of Mrs. Stark. officiating. Interment to follow at the Glen Leslie Cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Heart Fund would be appreciated by the family.
