STARK, Margaret: 1893 - July 13, 1935
Margaret Stark Great Reaper Takes Beloved Resident Of Bezanson The deepest sympathy of the community goes out to Mr. James Stark and to Donald, Polly and Desmond in their bereavement in the home call of their dear wife and mother, Mrs. Margaret Stark, who passed away Friday, July 12, at 4 o'clock in her husband's arms, reciting the Lord's Prayer. She had endured a long illness, but bore it with great patience, having a great trust in the wisdom of God. Her favorite hymn was: "Art thou weary, art thou languid, Art thou sore distrest? Come to Me said One and coming Be at rest." The late Mrs. Stark as born at Tyleglas, Senny Bridge, South Wales, 42 years ago. She and Mr. Stark were married at Crynant, Neath, South Wales, in 1912. They had 4 children. The eldest, David, passed away three years ago. They came to Canada in 1926, settling on a home half mile north of the community hall. She took a very deep interest in the Sunday school at Bezanson and before her illness she taught a class of senior girls. Left to mourn her loss are her husband and three children - Donald, Polly and Desmond; her mother, Mrs. Evans of Pyle, Glamorganshire, South Wales. The interment took place at Glen Leslie cemetery on Sunday, July 14, at 3 o'clock. A short service was held by the family and Sunday school friends at the house, afterwards going to the church where Rev. S. R. Hunt officiated, speaking fittingly from Philippians, chapter 1, verse 2 to 25, remarking how in his visits he was encouraged and helped by her. The Pall bearers were; Ed Allen, Sam Hunter, E. Peckham, Roy Ames, Bert Cockerton, and Rex Patterson. Among the many beautiful floral tributes were those bearing cards of Jim and children, sister and family, Grandma Moon, Catherine and Pete Moon, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moon, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dewhirst and Mrs. Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nichol, Clarence and Isabelle Raison, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ames, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Leslie, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Dorscheid, Mr. and Mrs Rex Patterson, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Moon and family, Mrs. Vance, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Allen and many others not bearing cards. Mr. Ed Leslie ably conducted arrangements and a very large gathering of friends gathered to pay their last respects to a dear friend and neighbor. Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord, They shall rest from their labours." - Rev. 14-13. July 18 1935 - Northern Tribune |
