Emily Lemky Mrs. Emily Lemky passed away on Tuesday. April 29, 19110 at Grande Prairie at the age of 63. She was born in Glen Leslie and was a resident of DeBolt and the Peace Country all her life. She is survived by her husband Herbert, sons Carson of Calgary and Ellery of Grande Prairie; daughter Mrs. Sheral Wales of Calgary, sisters Gracie Laye and Helene Warren both of Grande Prairie, and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Archie Hackwell. Funeral service for the late Emily Lemky will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. from Oliver Funeral Chapel with Rey. D'Arcy Lade officiating. Interment to follow in the Glen Leslie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements by Oliver Funeral Chapel. Herbert Lemky Mr. Herbert Lemky passed away at his home in DeBolt, Alta. on Wednesday, June 27, 1984, at the age of 70 years. He was born at Rosthern, Saskatchewan, and had been a longtime resident of the DeBolt area. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by two sons, Carson (Julie) of Calgary, and Ellery (Pat) of Grande Prairie, one daughter, Sheral Wales of Calgary, six grandchildren, one brother Ed of Crooked Creek, four sisters, Mary (Eugene) Gaboury of DeBolt, Ann (Oscar) Mackey of Teepee Creek, Eva Patterson of Grande Prairie, and Tina (Lawrence) O'Toole of Grande Prairie. He was predeceased by his wife, Emily, in 1980, and two brothers, John and Walt. Funeral service for the late Herbert Lemky will be held at the Oliver Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 3, 1984, at 2 p.m., with Cannon E. P. Williston officiating. Interment to take place in Glen Leslie Cemetery. Memorial to the Heart Fund or a charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Katherine (Tina) O'Toole, 85, of Grande Prairie Katherine (Tina) O'Toole, longtime resident of Crystal Creek and currently of Grande Prairie passed away at the Q.E.II Hospital on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at the age of 85 years. Katherine was born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan March 19, 1917 and moved with her family to the Crystal Creek area in 1927. In 1937 she married Cyril Binks and they raised three children; Robert, Dennis and Phyllis. She lost her first husband in 1955. In 1961 she married John Morency and he passed away in 1966. In July 1970 she married Lawrence O‚Toole and they shared 32 wonderful years. Katherine was an avid gardener and was noted for her "like clock work, cookie run" to all family members. She had many years active service with The Eastern Star and The Royal Purple. She was a caregiver at Swanavon Nursing Home and Central Park Lodge. She loved to pack up and go on family outings, camping along the way. Katherine was predeceased by her parents John and Helene Lemky, husbands Cyril Binks and John Morency, 5 brothers Arthur, John, Walter (Maude), Herbert (Emily) and Edward (Emna) Lemky, sisters Mary (Gene) Gaboury and Eva (Art) Patterson, brother-in-law Oscar Mackey, sisters-in-law Beatrice (Glen) van Schaick and Marj (Gordon) Oatway. She is survived by her husband Lawrence O'Toole, son Robert (Dorene) Binks, son Dennis (Cheryl) Binks, daughter Phyllis (Charlie) Foster, sister Anna Mackey, sister-in-law Pearline (Gerry) Watson, 11 grandchildfren, 15 great grandchildren, also Pat and Bill O'Toole and their families and Gladys Bowman and family. of Grande Prairie On Saturday, August 3, 2002 at the Grande Prairie Hospital, Art Patterson passed away at the age of 90 years after a brief illness. He will be remembered and sadly missed by his wife Ruth, son Everett (Joan), son Roger (Margaret), daughter Diane (Paul), seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, his brother Earl and Ruth's family; Owen, Dorothy, Ron, Laura and Vern and their families will also miss him. He was predeceased by wife Eva, son Greg and brother Neil. Art was born in Everett, Washington on September 4, 1911 and came to farm in Grande Prairie with his parents in 1915. He had many occupations in Grande Prairie, Everett and on the Alaska Highway. Our family was raised on the farm near Bezanson. Dad knew and loved nature, music, gardening and writing. In earlier years he was a member of the Elks, community organizations and a county councilor. A service celebrating his life will be held at the Bezanson Senior Center on Saturday, August 10, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Eva Patterson Our loving, caring mother, Eva Patterson, passed away at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Grande Prairie, Alberta, on Tuesday, November 14, 1989. at age 77. Eva was born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan on February 28, 1912, and moved to the Grande Prairie area with her parents and family when she was 16. In 1937 she married Arthur Patterson, and for most of her married life lived on the farm in the Glen Leslie area. She worked at the Grande Prairie Auxiliary Hospital for 11 years, retiring in 1976. In recent years she was a resident of Dieppe Manor in Grande Prairie. She is survived by her loving sons: Everett (Joan) of Fort St. John, B.C. and Roger (Margaret) of Winnipeg, Manitoba: her daughter Diane (John) Blackwell of Penticton, BC. and her former husband Arthur of Grande Prairie: also grandchildren: Donna (Michael) Ferris, Linda, Tom, Kevin. and Michael Patterson: great-grandchildren: Tara and Jenell Ferris; and sisters: Anna Mackey and Tina O'Toole. She was predeceased by her 4-month old son. Gregory in 1957, sister Mary, and brothers: Edward, Walter, John, Herbert, and Arthur. A memorial service for the late Eva Patterson will be held at the Oliver Funeral Chapel, Grande Prairie, Alberta, on Friday, November 17, 1989, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Vern Begalke officiating, Cremation will take place at the Oliver Crematorium.
