Charles Milner Sr. EAST KLESKUN DIST. MOURNS LOSS HIGHLY RESPECTED CITIZEN (By H. T. Alderman) EAST KLESKUN, April 1—We are sorry to have to report the death on Sunday last of Charles Milner Sr., of this district. Mr. Milner’s passing cam as a distinct shock to the people of the neighbourhood. He having been in his usual good health up until the time he was stricken. Coming to this country from England some 14 months ago to make his home with his son, Charles Jr. he very shortly established a lasting friendly impression by his cheerful ways and happy manner. An impressive funeral service was conducted at the home of his son by Rev. Canon James of Grande Prairie, internment taking place in the Glen Leslie cemetery. The kindly smile of Grandpa Milner will be sadly missed by those privileged to have know him. We express our sincere sympathy to those bereaved. Grande Prairie Newspaper April 10, 1951 |
