Willis David Johnston, 73,
of Bezanson Willis David Johnston, long time resident of Bezanson, passed away suddenly in Edmonton at the University of Alberta Hospital at the age of 73 years. Willis was born October 18, 1921, in Calgary to Charles and Marie Johnston. He served his country overseas in WWII. After returning from the war, he came to the Grande Prairie area, where he purchased his father's land near Bezanson. He met his wife Vivian in Grande Prairie and they were married in 1947. Vivian passed away in 1974 and Willis remained on the family farm until his death. Willis will be remembered for his great love for his grandchildren. Willis will be sadly missed by his daughter, Wanda Zenner of Bezanson; three grandchildren, Daren, Craig and Barry; sister Dorothy Doerkson; half sister Irene Belieu; half brother, Julius Steffen. He was predeceased by his wife Vivian, parents and brother-in-law John Doerkson. Funeral service for the late Willis David Johnston will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 1995 at 4 p.m. at Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel, 10005-107Ave., with Lt. Dave Grice officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations may be made to the QEII Cancer Clinic. Arrangements have been entrusted to Grande Prairie Funeral Chape1, 10005 - 107 Ave. Grande Prairie.
