Noreen Mary Ford
    With sadness the family of the late Noreen Mary Ford of Bezanson, AB, announce her passing on October 13, 2010 while at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie, AB.
   Noreen was predeceased by her late husband, Ross on December 24, 1973 and her oldest son Dennis, on December 23, 2000. She leaves behind a loving family, sons Ken and Doug, daughters Helen and Frances, daughters-in-law Judy and Grace, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Noreen was born on October 26, 1921 at Rio Grande, AB, the seventh child of Dennis and Mary Ann O'Connell. There were eight other children in her family, brothers, Jack, Mick, Pat, Denny, Frank, Tim, Joseph and her only sister, Margaret, all of who have since passed away. In June of 1984,
   Noreen retired from a 35 year teaching career which took her to many community schools within the Peace River district, ending with Harry Balfour School in Grande Prairie. From then on, she especially treasured a full home life as well as travel with family members until it became necessary because of health reasons, to reside within the Emerald Gardens Care facility at Grande Prairie.
   Noreen always made the world a better place and will be dearly missed by those who mourn her. Her life was a series of wonderful memories woven with love.
   As a celebration of her life, a funeral mass was held at her beloved Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located in Bezanson, AB at 1:00 p. m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Interment followed in the Glen Leslie Cemetery.

FORD, George Ross: 1919 - 1973 {also on Ford grave stone page}

FORD - Mr. George Ross Ford passed away on December 24, 1973, at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, at the age of 54 years. Mr. Ford was born in Manitoba, and was a resident of the Bezanson district. He is survived by his wife Noreen, of Bezanson; three sons, Dennis of Grande Prairie, and Ken and Douglas of Bezanson; two daughters, Frances Coney of Grande Prairie and Helen Ford of Bezanson; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by lour brothers, Fred of Bezanson, Henry and John of Grande Prairie, and Harvey of DeBolt; six sisters, Evelyn Gammon of Grande Prairie, Elsie Wade of Ontario, Janet Sitsma of Prince George, Ellen Hawryluk,
Verna Crowe and Myrtle McLaughlin, all of Bezanson. He was predeceased by three brothers, Harold, Charlie and Vernon.
   Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec 29, at 1:00 p.m., from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Grande Prairie, with Father R. McNally, C.S.S.R., officiating. Interment followed in the Glen Leslie Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Eli Tochalyk, Roger LaValley, Irving Ames, Glenn Ames, Robert Ames, and Bodhan Hawryluk.
   Arrangements were by the Oliver Funeral Home.
