Hjertine Jensen
   Mrs. Hjertine Jensen passed away at the Grande Prairie Auxiliary Hospital on June 11, at the age of 93 years. Mrs. Jensen was born in Norway and later moved to the United States. In 1912 she came to Fox Valley, Sask.    Then in 1929 she moved to Glen Leslie (Bezanson area) and lived there until approximately seven years ago when she moved to the Central Park lodge in Grande Prairie where she resided until her passing.
   Mrs. Jensen is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Dina Goff of Bezanson, Mrs. Myrtle Fenton of Bezanson, Mrs. Mildred McPhee of RR #1, Grande Prairie and Mrs. Geraldine Stark of Grande Prairie, one son Marvin Jensen of Grande Prairie, 17 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Didrik and two sons Sigvald and Gustay.
   Funeral services were held on June 15 at 2 p.m. from the J.B. Oliver Funeral Chapel in Grande Prairie with Pastor L. Lerseth officiating with interment following in the Glen Leslie Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were: Pete McPhee, Bruce Fenton, Lyle Jensen, Duane Stark, George Hansen and Geraldd Goff.
   Arrangements were by the J.B. Oliver Funeral Home.

Diedrek Jensen Of Glen Leslie District Passed Away Friday
   Following an illness of six weeks Diedrik Jensen, a resident of the Glen Leslie District for the past 17 years, passed away at the Grande Prairie Municipal Hospital on Friday night, August 30th.
   Born in Norway, he sailed the seas for several years, finally settling in North Dakota, where he married Miss H. Torgerson. He came to Saskatchewan in 1911 and settled in Maple Creek area. In 1929, with his family, he settled in the Glen Leslie district, where for several years he farmed a section of land.
   A frequent visitor to Grande Prairie, he was well known here, and had many friends.
   Those left are: wife, four daughters and one son: Mrs. V. Goff, Mrs. R. Phenton, Mrs. R. McPhee, Mrs. J. Stark, all living in the east end; Marion and nephew, Geo. Hanson, the later associated with Mr. Jensen in farming. Two sisters live in Norway.
   The funeral was held from the Glen Leslie church, burial took place in the Glen Leslie cemetery. Rev. M. S . Knudson of Sexsmith Lutheran church, officiated.
   Pallbearers were: Jack stark, S. Garrett, D. Minchin, A. Moon, G. Bredeson, R. Patterson.
