Elizabeth Margaret "Betty" Moon Mrs. Elizabeth Margaret "Betty" Moon (nee Willetts) passed away at the Youville Nursing Home at St. Albert, Alberta, on Friday, March 7, 1986, at the age of 76. She was a long time resident of the Grande Prairie area, and was very active in the A.C.W. of Christ Church Anglican until the time of her final illness. She is survived by I daughter, Helen, of Vancouver, B.C.; 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Arnold (Alice) of St. Albert, Jerry (Joan) of Ottawa, Ontario, and Alan (Geri) of Calgary; 7 grandchildren: Laurie, Robin, Michele, Kim, Ron, Scott and Kevin; 1 brother and 3 sisters. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred, in 1971. Public visitation will be held at the Oliver Funeral Chapel, from 8-9 p.m., on Monday evening, March 10, 1986. Funeral service for the late Elizabeth Margaret "Betty" Moon will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 6610 Poplar Drive, Grande Prairie, Alberta, on Tuesday, March 11, 1986, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Richard Conrad officiating, Interment to take place at the Glen Leslie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. MOON, Frederick Urban: 1902 - 1971 {also on Moon grave stone page}
Frederick (Fred) Moon A funeral service was held January 12 at the Oliver Funeral Chapel, for Fredrick (Fred) Moon who passed away in Grande Prairie on January 8, at the age of 68. He was born in 1902 at Moon Stone, Ontario and came to Bezanson in 1913 and farmed in the district until 1957 when he moved to Grande Prairie and worked for Sargent Motors until the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Grande Prairie, sons Arnold of Peace River, Gerald of Ottawa, and, and Alan of Edmonton, one daughter Helen of Grande Prairie, three granddaughters. brothers Norman and Alf and one sister Annie Wales of Grande Prairie. The service was officiated by Rev. E. P. Williston and interment took place in the Glen Leslie Cemetery. Donations to the Crippled Children's Fund were requested in lieu of flowers.
