Terry
Williamson Bye dear…I love you – Val Terry passed away at home after a short battle with cancer, peaceful and comforted by the presence of his wife and children. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by Val, his wife of 53 years, daughter Parri Ulrich and son Mike (Michelle) Williamson. He leaves a legacy for his five grandchildren, Heather Ulrich (Steve Pynn), Tanner Ulrich, Brennan Ulrich, Leeah Williamson and Nicholas Williamson. He is also survived by his two sisters, Bevy and Linda, and was pre-deceased by his parents Clarence and Winnifred, brother Bill and sister Francie, as well as his special brother-in-law, Keith Patterson. Terry was born in Berwyn, Alberta, grew up in Manning, and was educated at the U of A in Edmonton. His distinguished professional career as a chartered accountant included the partnership at Froment & Williamson, with branches in Leduc, Alberta and Yellowknife, NWT. Terry left the firm for other ventures, including farming on Highway 13 near Pigeon Lake, Alberta which was a season of life that he loved. They relocated to Grande Prairie in 2004, where Val and Terry spent many busy years caring for family and friends, happily enjoying watching their children and grandchildren thrive. Terry will be remembered for his intelligence and business acumen, work ethic, and sharp wit. He loved sports, both to participate and watch, and in earlier years was an avid hunter and fisherman. More recently he could be found enjoying a highly competitive game of cards and following current events closely. He was loved, respected, appreciated and will be sadly missed. We will honour Terry at a gathering of friends on Saturday, July 10th at 11:00 am at the Glen Leslie Cemetery. Luncheon at noon at the Williamson home in Grande Prairie, 9013-117 Avenue.
