Beatrice Mable Fells August 25, 1918 - February 9, 2005
   Beatrice Mable Fells, longtime resident of Bezanson and Grande Prairie, Alberta passed away peacefully on February 9, 2005 at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie at the age of 86 years, surrounded by family and friends.
   Bea was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta to Edwin and Florence Robideau on August 25, 1918.
   Bea married Jim Fells December 28, 1936. They homesteaded in the Fitzsimmons area. They moved to Bezanson in 1945, and raised four children.
   Bea will be sadly missed by her family; Larry, Bev, Rod, Glenn, Colleen, Tyler and Dallas Fells; Bernice and Cliff Sydbo; Sandy and Keith Seewalt, Carlee, Jason, Ashlee and Austin Bradley; Jody, Dave and Jannell Matwichuk; Lorna, Maygan and Dana Welander; Darcie Dube, Tarri Thompson, Step-grandchildren; Shirley, Jim, Travis, and Trina Gayes; Joan Sydbo; Shane, Karla, Catlin, Ashlee, and Carl Sydbo; Peggy, George, Jim, Berk, and Sarah Ross; Tracey, Frank, Colten, and Brayden Vant Erve; Marylou, Paul, Ron, Michelle, and Josh Podulsky; Lisa, Roland, Erica, and Lucas Glatz; Shawn Eckstorom, Sister and best friend Louise Kimble, special nephew Melvin Kimble, brother Ray (Jean) Robideau, two special aunts; Maggie, and Peggy Robideau and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
   Bea was predeceased by her husband Jim, mother Florence, father Edwin, stepfather Bud Gallant, brother Albert, sister Audrey, brothers-in-law Herman and John, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
   The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the Bezanson Community Church in Bezanson with Pastor Lew Wiegel officiating.
   Memorial donations may be made in memory of Beatrice to the Bezanson Curling Club, c/o The AG Society, Box 189, Bezanson, AB T0H 0G0.

James Fells
   Mr. James Fells passed away at Grande Prairie, Alta., on Tuesday, May 31, 1983, at the age of 74 years. He was born in London, England, and had lived in the Bezanson area for the past 60 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice; one son, Larry (Bev) of Bezanson; three daughters: Bernice Welander of Edmonton, Peggy (George) Ross of Edson, MaryLou (Paul) Podulsky of Edmonton; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren: one brother and three sisters in England. He was predeceased by one brother, one sister, and three grandchildren.
   Funeral service for the late James Fells will be held at the Oliver Funeral Chapel, Grande Prairie, Alta , on Friday, June 3, 1983, at 2 p.m., with Ron Neufeld officiating. Interment to follow at the Glen Leslie Cemetery.
   Memorial donations to the W W Cross Institute would be gratefully appreciated by the family

Bernice E. (Sis) Sydbo
   It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Berniece Ellen Sydbo (Sis). Berniece passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 11, 2020 at the age of 82.
   Berniece was a longtime resident of the Bezanson area, a real pillar of the community. She followed her Dad’s cooking skills as a camp cook for many years.
   She will be missed by her spouse, Clifford Sydbo, her children; Sandy Seewalt, Jody (Dave) Matwichuck, Lorna Welander, Shirley(Jim) Gayes, Shane (Karla) Sydbo; 11 grandchildren, as 15 great grandchildren; her brother Larry (Bev) Fells, sisters Peggy Ross and Mary-Lou (Paul) Podulsky, Aunt Louise Kimble, and Uncle Ray Robideau, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
   Due to current COVID restrictions, a Celebration of Life for Berniece will be held later in the summer of 2021.

 Wendell passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on December 11, 2016. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife Mon, his daughters Sandy Seewalt, Jody (Dave) Matwichuk, and Lorna Welander, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his children Ricky, Alvin, Nancy, and Tarri. A celebration of Wendell's life will be held on December 17, 2016 at the Bezanson Golden Age Centre at 2:00 PM.

   Tarri Thompson, of Gibsons, BC passed away June 8th, 2015 in Vancouver at the Lions Gate Hospital. Tarri is survived by her common-law spouse Duane Hodberg, parents Berniece (Cliff) Sydbo and Wendell (Mon) Welander, sisters Sandy Seewalt, Jody (Dave) Matwichuck, Lorna Welander, step-sisters and brother Shirley (Jimmy) Gayes, Shane (Carla) Sydbo, and Joan Sydbo, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
   Tarri resided in Gibsons BC, as well as in Grande Prairie AB.
   Celebration of Tarri’s Life will be held at the Bezanson Senior Centre on June 19th, at 2:00 PM.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society www.gphospice.ca
