STANLEY, Wayne: December 5, 1941 – March 2, 2008 {also on Stanley grave stone page}

Wayne Stanley
   Today we lost our best friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Wayne Stanley. Cancer took its toll on Wayne and despite the fight he put on – we lost the battle. Wayne leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce, children Delbert, Debbie and Darwin, grandchildren; Monica, Angelene, Connie, Alicia, Kassandra, Tommy and Shawnee, great granddaughter Brooklyn and his constant companion Shylo, also Joyce's siblings; Rita (Ray) Boyer, Alan (Kay) Robideau, Betty (Allan) Fenton, Joan Ford and Terry (Ed) Hildebrand. Wayne was well known as a young sports professional. His baseball, golf and bowling kept him traveling and busy. Later years hunting, fishing and camping became the highlights of his life – always with family and friends. We know no matter what family function, gatherings, fishing trips and campfires we share – Wayne will always be there making sure we 'throw another log on the fire!'
   Memorial service will be held at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel (10005-107 Ave) Grande Prairie on Friday, March 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment of ashes will follow at a family gathering at a later date.
