Coney, John W. (Jock)Jock Coney passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the QEII Hospital at the age of 84. Jock was born in Scotland and immigrated to Bezanson, Alberta in 1928 with his parents. At 18 he joined the army and served with the Loyal Edmonton Regiment until June 1946. He returned to Bezanson where he worked at various jobs. In 1948 he married June Lucas. Jock was predeceased by his wife June, three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his children: Cortez (Lynne), Christine (Ron) Thorpe, Lorie (Randy) Kennedy, Kelsey (Rose), Larry (Barb) and Vicky (Barry), twenty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, Brothers-in-law; Mac (Dora) Lucas and Gordie (Rose) Genz, Sisters-in-law; Barb Lucas and Lorraine Norstrom.Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 2 pm at the Bezanson Community Church.
