SPIERS, Dianne: May 6, 1941 – July 14, 2011
Honey Dianne Lenore Spiers (Dianne), born May 6, 1941 in Nelson, BC, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, after a determined struggle against cancer. Dianne came to the Peace Country and married Gerald Goff of Bezanson, in 1961. They farmed and raised quarter horses for many years while raising their family of three boys, Vern, Dennis and Jay. Dianne drove a school bus for over 30 years and leaves behind many friends in the bus driving community. A special thanks to Maurice and Barb Powell for their support over the years. Dianne is survived by her sons Dennis Goff (Jennifer) of Lethbridge; Jay Goff of Clairmont; siblings Stan Spiers of Amisk, Alberta; Stuart Spiers and Dorothy Hockett of Quesnel, British Columbia; and many nieces and nephews. As well as her “adopted” daughter Darla Provencal of Sexsmith, Alberta. Dianne will be dearly missed and always remembered. At Dianne’s request there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
