Talbot, Donald Alexander
   Donald Alexander Talbot passed away at Mackenzie Place in Grande Prairie, Alberta on Monday, June 5, 2006 at the age of 76 years.
   Donald was born, lived and farmed in the Teepee Creek area. He then moved to Berwyn where he owned a barber shop and drove school bus, in 1996 Donald returned to the Grande Prairie area.
   Don is survived by his wife Katherine of 53 years. his daughters Beverly (Victor) of Bonnyville, Alberta, Barbara of Wembley, Alberta, Audrey (Richard) of Fairview, Alberta and Karen (Andy) of Sexsmith, Alberta, his son Kelly, sisters Pearl (Elmer), Norma (Bill) and Eileen (Leslie), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
   Don was predeceased by his parents Nina and Norman and his brother Oliver.
   Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel (10005-107 Ave.) Grande Prairie with Rev. Jody Miles Officiating.
   Memorial donations may be made in Don's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Katherine (Kitty) Meyers Talbot
   Katherine Talbot passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 82 years.
   Kay was born on September 15, 1934 in Grande Prairie, AB. She and her twin sister Ruth had 4 sisters and 2 brothers and grew up in the Glen Leslie area.
   Kay married Donald “Don” Talbot when she was 19 and had five children. They lived in Berwyn, AB. Kay worked for many years at Autumn Lodge and truly enjoyed working with the residents there. She was wonderful at what she did and had a knack for helping others.
   Kay was personable and engaging. She was a kind person and was liked by everyone. She was always hospitable and cooked delicious meals for many hungry guests.
   Kay was a great cook. She sewed, knit, and at one time did glass beadwork. She enjoyed reading and was a regular user of the public library.
   She will be missed by her children: Beverley Talbot, Barbara Meyer, Audrey Blakley, and Kelly Talbot; grandchildren: Devon Wald, Robin Wald, Cassidy Wald, Kimberly Meyer, Anthony Meyer, Dalyce Ferraz, Tracy Blakley, Amy McKinley, Bethany Veysey, Mark Talbot, Sabrina Talbot, Kiesha Talbot, and Blake Talbot-Wald; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
   She was predeceased by her daughter Karen Talbot in 2007 and husband Donald Talbot in 2006.
   A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November, 18, 2016 at 10:30am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). A Viewing will be held prior at 9:00am. A luncheon will be held after the service, followed by interment at Glen Leslie Cemetery.
   Memorial donations may be made to Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society (Box 21215, Grande Prairie, AB T8V 6W7).

Karen Nina Talbot, long-time resident of the Grande Prairie and Sexsmith area passed away at Sexsmith on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the age of 42 years.
   Karen was born in Grande Prairie and throughout her life lived in Grande Prairie, Berwyn and Sexsmith. At the time of her death she was residing with her husband Andrew Rak and son Blake Talbot-Wald.
   She will be sadly missed by her husband, son, mother Kay Talbot; sisters Beverley (Vic), Barbara (Frank), Audrey (Rick) and Brother Kelly, as well as the Rak family.
   Karen will be also missed by nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Karen was predeceased by her father Don Talbot and her grandparents.
   Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel (10005-107 Ave) Grande Prairie with Rev. Dr. Henry Victor officiating. Viewing will be held prior to the service.
