Nora Kathleen Newman, 89, of Grande Prairie    Nora Kathleen Newman, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly longtime resident of Bezanson, passed away at the Q.E.II Hospital in Grande Prairie on Sunday, December 19, 1999 at the age of 89 years.    Nora was born in Milford, England on June 26, 1910. She immigrated to Canada in 1928 with her family, settling in Bezanson where she met and married Oliver Menard. They farmed in the Bezanson area on Oliver's homestead.    Nora is survived by her son Albert Menard (Gene) of Westlock, Alberta; daughter Laura (Milo) Sandberg of Prince George, B.C.; nine grandchildren; Dale and Cindy Persson, Brenda (Majid) Ghazvini, Gwen Sandberg, Bill, Larry, Allan, Jimmy, and Evelyn; nine great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.    She was predeceased by her first husband, Oliver Menard in 1960, her second husband, Percy Newman in 1985; her daughter Claire Persson in 1985; sisters Gladys Rees and Murielle Clauson.    By Nora's request there will be no public service held.
